Vehicles can be operated by miners provided the miner fulfills the training requirements of the vehicle. These can either be Driver (taught at the Support Station), Pilot (taught at the Teleport Pad) or Sailor (taught at the Docks). Some vehicles, such as the Hover Scout, has no training requirement.
Available vehicles
Hover Scout
The Hover Scout is the fastest vehicle in the game, but its only functionality is to transport miners around the cavern. It has a special jump ability, activatable by double clicking, that makes it able to cross a 1-tile wide obstacle.
Small Digger
The Small Digger is cheap, fast, and drills walls quicker than any miner. It can be upgraded to move and drill faster.
Small Transport Truck
The Small Transport Truck can carry 3 resources, as well as construct buildings and recharge crystals. It can be upgraded to carry 6 resources and move faster.
Small Mobile Laser Cutter
The Small Mobile Laser Cutter is a small-scale laser tank that can deal fair damage to enemies but struggles digging through walls. It has a cooldown of 1 second between shots.
Tunnel Scout
The Tunnel Scout is a fast flying vehicle that can traverse any terrain. It can be upgraded to drill cavern walls, albeit slower than a Miner.
Rapid Rider
The Rapid Rider is the jack-of-all-trades water vehicle. It can carry 3 resources of any kind, which it drops off at a nearby Docks so that Miners on land can collect those. It can be upgraded at the Docks to drill walls as well as carry 6 resources.
Cargo Carrier
The Cargo Carrier is a Large water-based transport vehicle that can ship Small Vehicles across water. It can be upgraded at the Docks to travel over lava. It will be able to ship resources and miners in the future.
Loader Dozer
The Loader Dozer is a Large ground-based vehicle that can clear rubble and reinforce walls with ease. It can be upgraded to move faster and clear rubble more efficiently.
Granite Grinder
The Granite Grinder is a Large ground-based drilling vehicle that can tear through most terrain types with ease, including Hard Rock. It has a special jump ability, activatable by double clicking, that makes it able to cross a 1-tile wide obstacle. It can be upgraded to drill and move faster.
Large Mobile Laser Cutter
The Large Mobile Laser Cutter is a Large ground-based laser vehicle, capable of dealing serious damage to both creatures and walls. Its unique double laser setup means it can fire at two targets or walls simultaneously, but increases the risk of damaging your own units.
Chrome Crusher
The Chrome Crusher is a Large ground-based drilling vehicle capable of drilling walls faster than any other vehicle. It is equipped with both a laser, effective against creatures but not against walls, and a Scanner, which can scan surrounding caverns and environments (unimplemented feature). It can be upgraded to drill and move faster.
Tunnel Transport
The Tunnel Transport is a Large air-based transport vehicle that can carry Small and Large vehicles over any terrain. When it's not busy, it can also transport up to 8 of any resource.
